Okay, so I'm a little OCD about Star Trek and its starships. Here is another kitbash -- this time of Dave Metlesits Daedalus model. My thinking goes like this... In 2267, Starfleet's Transport Command is in dire need of ships to service the expanding Federation. One STC Commodore, Ronald West, came up with the idea of pulling decommissioned ships out of retirement and putting them back in service as special couriers... this old Daedalus was one such ship. The USS McLellan was upgraded with as much newer technology as engineers could stuff into her in ten weeks... for that was the mandatory time limit on getting recommissioned ships space worthy -- just 10 weeks. Any thoughts?

Must say that at first I didn't like the Daedalus class, but it grows on you 
Even thought I really like the original "retro" design, what do you think of the blue light satellite dish from TMP and onward? It surely would make your ships look more contemporary. But then again, why mess with the classics?
